Our Story

Nearly Three Decades of Nurturing Minds

Sri Vidya Mandir Matriculation Higher Secondary School was founded in 1998 by the Sri Vidya Mandir Educational Trust, on a simple belief: that every child deserves an education rooted in both rigour and warmth. What began as a single block with 180 students on the outskirts of Uttangarai has grown into a 4-acre campus educating over 3,200 students across Nursery to Class XII.

Through the years, our focus has stayed constant even as the campus has grown — strong academics, attentive teachers, and a community where children are known, not just enrolled.

We did not set out to build the biggest school. We set out to build one where every family feels this is home.

When our Trust founded Sri Vidya Mandir in 1998, our aim was modest but firm: a school where discipline and warmth could coexist, where results mattered but never at the cost of a child's wellbeing. Twenty-seven years on, that founding aim still guides every decision our management makes — from the teachers we appoint to the facilities we build.

Our Journey

Milestones

1998

Sri Vidya Mandir founded by the Educational Trust with 180 students, Nursery to Class V.

2005

Higher Secondary section opened, offering Bio-Maths and Commerce streams.

2012

Smart classrooms introduced across Class VI and above; new Science block completed.

2016

Computer Science stream launched for Higher Secondary; dedicated computer labs opened.

2019

Sports complex and indoor courts completed, expanding athletics and indoor games coaching.

2023

Recognised by the District Education Office for outstanding matriculation board results.

2026

Celebrating 27 years, with over 3,200 students and 145+ faculty on campus today.
